Request a spot
Sunday, December 6 · 10am to 5pm
Safta turns one. For one Sunday the whole building opens: free classes downstairs, makers upstairs, and we want you to be a part of it.
The idea
Safta opened in East Falls a year ago. On Sunday, December 6, we are celebrating by opening every door at 3580 Indian Queen Lane and filling the building with the people who make this neighbourhood feel like itself: makers, bakers, growers, readers, healers and musicians.
Upstairs is for vendors, entirely. Downstairs, the yoga room runs free classes all day, and between them it becomes a wellness room, with chair massage and acupuncture and curtained corners for private sessions, like a fifteen minute massage.

The day
Vendors have the whole upstairs from 11:30 to 5, with setup from 11. Downstairs, three free classes run through the day, each one lets a new room of people out and up the stairs, and in between the yoga room opens for massage and acupuncture.
The building opens and people settle in for the first class.
A fluid flow to open the day. Free, all levels.
Vendors arrive and set up upstairs while the first class is still on.
The first class lets out and walks straight up the stairs. The music goes on.
An invigorating flow at the middle of the day, to spark some inspiration. Free, all levels.
Chair massage and acupuncture in the yoga room between classes, with curtained corners for private sessions.
Earth yin to close. Longer holds, low to the floor. Free, all levels.
Drawn live. Everyone who walks in gets an entry at the door, and Safta is putting in a five class pack.
Pack down and thank yous. Everyone who took part goes home with a code for a free class.
A look around

For vendors
No fee to take part. Tell us on the form what you need and what you will be bringing.
The building is open from 10 to 5, with three free classes of up to twenty and people filtering in and out all day. The East Falls Farmers Market craft fair is just down the street that weekend, so expect people to wander over from there too.
Before the day we share the vendors on the Safta Instagram: one post with what everyone is bringing, each of you tagged.
Want to be included? Put in something you believe is valuable, and we draw it live in the afternoon.
Last year and this year
Last year, we filled the upstairs with 11 tables and a DJ in the conference room. This year, we want the whole neighbourhood in on it.

Finding us
3580 Indian Queen Lane, East Falls. The stone building with the red door. Upstairs is the vendor floor, downstairs is the yoga room.
Safta is one room in a bigger building. See all of 3580
Parking. Free street parking, all day, on the surrounding streets.
Getting in. There is no elevator or loading dock, and the stairs are the main way in. We will have hands on deck to help you carry in and set up throughout the day.
Limited spots
Space upstairs is limited, and we are curating the mix so every table is different. Tell us about you and what you would bring. Spots are confirmed as requests come in, so sooner is better.
It takes about two minutes. We read every request and write back to each of you.
